August 2012: Urbandoc is now formally administered by the Providence Health Shared Care Partnership. As the provincial leader in developing innovative platforms linking specialists and family physicians, this development augers well for the vision of Urbandoc.
April 2011: Urbandoc welcomes the Kerrisdale Station Clinic to its network, with 11 additional family physicians supporting shared care.
September 2010: Urbandoc welcomes another GP group (City Square Family Practice) that is linked for shared care to a new psychiatrist. Welcome aboard ! This brings to 5, the number of psychiatrists supporting a shared care on the Urbandoc platform.
Dec 20, 2007: Mental health shared care goes live! This initiative with St Paul’s psychiatrists, currently restricted to St Paul’s family physicians, links up the two for care and support of psychiatric patients. It includes on-line appointment scheduling and secure email.
July 6, 2007: Urbandoc announces the completion of a major enhancement to its functionality...2-week locum coverage. This allows member FPs who can’t find a locum utilize the network as a primary support. Thanks to Vancouver Coastal Health for their ongoing support.
